Position Overview:

The Revenue Cycle IT Analyst troubleshoots, analyzes, develops, and maintains Meditech Expanse Revenue Cycle applications and procedures. The Revenue Cycle IT Analyst focuses on supporting Revenue Cycle applications and is the key technical liaison to Revenue Cycle departments including HIM, Billing, General Financials, Fixed Assets and Materials Management.

Essential Job Functions:

• Analyzes and assists in supporting Meditech Expanse Revenue Cycle, including testing and documentation. Supports other Rev Cycle applications as applicable including Waystar and 3M.
• Works with Meditech to support, upgrade and fix Expanse issues and enhancements
• Performs liaison duties to departments may include support Meditech Expanse Modules such as AMBPM, GL, FA, ESS, BF, SCN, HIM, CAS, REGM, CWS, ARMG, PHM, PP, RCG, CLM, MM, AP.
• Reviews, evaluates, and implements requests from end users.
• Provides in-service & assists with continuing education of software to users.
• Analyzes problems, determines cause & initiates corrective action as needed.
• Develops clear and concise documentation, instruction manuals.
• Maintains a high level of interaction with all Revenue Cycle areas to continually enhance and improve financial operations.
• Shares on-call duties with other staff within the Applications group including Clinical Informatics and Information Systems Department when needed.
• Coordinates and participates in both internal and external user group meetings as needed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and supports Medical Center mission, vision, and values, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required:

• Degree in HIM and/or a Billing/Claims related field an asset; equivalent experience in healthcare, financial application software can be substituted.
• Candidates should have at least three years of experience in supporting IT applications and/or working in a clinical/revenue cycle environment.

Additional Qualifications:

• Proficient and knowledgeable at building and maintaining Meditech Expanse.
• Experience troubleshooting issues in Meditech Expanse, including a general understanding of the dictionaries, interdependencies, and architecture.
• Understanding and experience with clinical information systems and advanced clinicals and Revenue Cycle integration.
• Strong analytic skills, including problem identification and resolution.
• Ability to lead, facilitate and work effectively with diverse individuals and populations.
