    DEPARTMENT: Beach
    REPORTS TO: Beach Manager or Deputy Beach Manager
    SUPERVISES: Revenue Clerks, Gate Supervisor and Gate Attendants
    JOB TYPE: Seasonal
    WORK SCHEDULE: As assigned, based on department and beach operation needs.
    SALARY: In accordance with established pay scale
    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Revenue Manager is a seasonal position with the Town of Middletown responsible for supervising and coordinating the Revenue Clerks, Gate Supervisor, and Gate Attendants. This position is responsible for collecting and preparing daily deposits for season passes as well as daily admission fees, recording and comparing daily/weekly/monthly/seasonal sales trends and assisting the Beach Manager; preforms other related duties as assigned.
    I ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.     • Supervises and coordinates all activities related to collections, including, but not limited to, staff scheduling and supervision, collecting, preparing, and reconciling daily, weekly, and monthly deposits.
    • Responsible for scheduling and supervising Revenue Clerks, Gate Supervisor, and Gate Attendant staff.
    • Records and compares daily/weekly/monthly/seasonal sales trends.
    • Responsible for ensuring cash is locked in safe and deposited in the bank.
    • Ensures proper accounting of collections and deposits.
    • Trains Revenue staff in accounting protocol and procedures.
    • Assists Beach Manager and Deputy Beach Manager when needed.
    • Completes time and attendance information (payroll) for staff personnel and submits it to Beach Manager for his/her review/approval.
    • Picks up paychecks/paystubs from the Finance Office and delivers them to staff and beach employees as needed.
    • Assists with responsibilities for any matters related to Collections, such as staffing, customer complaints, etc.
    • Ensure all radio and collections equipment is stored in the Collections/Revenue trailer at the end of each day.
    • If needed lock up the building (bathrooms, office, first aid room and Lifeguard locker rooms) at closing and announces there are no lifeguards on duty at 6 PM through the loudspeaker.
    • Assist with beach cleanliness and trash pick-up as needed.
    • Other related duties as assigned.
    II MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The following generally describes the knowledge and ability required to enter the position and/or be learned within a short period of time to successfully perform the assigned duties:
    • Graduation from high school or a GED equivalent required; college degree in accounting or business-related field is preferred, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that would demonstrate the qualifications necessary to perform the duties associated with the position.
    • Must have previous employment in a responsible capacity involving supervision of the work of persons engaged in receiving and paying money and accounting, therefore.
    • A thorough knowledge of proper cash handling procedures and practices used in collecting and accounting for the receipt and disbursement of monies is required.
    • A thorough knowledge and skills in recreation facility management, the supervision of staff, with an emphasis on managing the proper and safe maintenance of beach revenue operations is preferred.
    • The ability to apply such practices and procedures is required.
    • Must possess considerable speed and accuracy in counting money.
    • Must possess the ability to detect irregularities in checks, vouchers, or similar cash items.
    • Must demonstrate a commitment to the highest quality of customer service.
    • Must possess the ability to supervise and review the work of the revenue office staff and Gate Attendants; establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
    • Must possess problem solving skills.
    • Must possess the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
    • Must possess the ability to courteously deal with the public.
    • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Have a general knowledge of Sachuest Beach Rules and Town Ordinances.
    • Must successfully complete a background check.
    • Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
