Corvid is seeking a highly skilled Revenue Accounting Manager to play a critical role in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, monitoring project performance, managing unbilled revenue, and conducting margin analysis. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and experience with percentage of completion and cost accounting methodologies.
What You’ll Do:
Conduct monthly reviews of project performance to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
Monitor the status of unbilled revenue, identify any discrepancies, and work closely with project managers to ensure timely invoicing.
Perform detailed margin analysis on completed projects, identifying areas for improvement and providing actionable insights to management.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports related to revenue recognition, unbilled revenue, and margin analysis for management review.
Continuously evaluate and improve revenue recognition processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
Collaborate closely with project managers, finance team members, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency in financial reporting and analysis.
Who We Want:
The ideal candidate would have a strong grasp of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards, along with proficiency in percentage of completion and cost accounting methodologies. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in financial analysis, including margin analysis and variance analysis, as well as advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software like Oracle. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required, along with the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, all while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in their work. Candidates should have at least 6 years experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a preference for CPA certification.
