To further our mission, the Director of Revenue Operations willplay acritical role in driving the financial success and growth of our sister company, TLJ Operations, by partnering with the finance, sales, marketing, and operations teams to drive revenue growth by building and maintaining client relationships.
Pay: Starting $85K - $100K base salary plus performance-based variable compensation
Location / Travel: If located in Salt Lake City, UT, must be willing to travel regularly to Olathe, KS (regularly at first and about every 6 weeks after onboarded); If located in Olathe, KS, must be willing to travel regularly to Salt Lake City, UT

WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY
- Revenue Strategy Development: Monitor market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to analyze opportunities; Develop and implement aligned revenue growth strategies positioned to achieve company financial goals; Establish aligned revenue targets, objectives and key results (OKRs), and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive continuous growth
- Sales & Marketing Alignment: Translate strategies into specific marketing and sales tactics, activities, and processes to generate new sales and deepen customer relationships; Collaborate closely between sales and marketing teams to maximize revenue opportunities by working with marketing to amplify product development and enhancement cycle, and develop lead-generation programs, campaigns, and messaging that resonate with target customers; and working with sales teams on pricing strategies, product positioning, and sales tactics
- Revenue Operations Management: Implement systems and processes to streamline revenue operations and improve efficiency, overseeing all aspects of revenue operations, including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue reporting; Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to track performance metrics and identify areas for optimization
- Customer Relationship Management: Secure strong relationships with customers and partners to drive revenue growth and retention; Collaborate with customer success and support teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty; Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products or services to existing customers
- Financial Analysis & Planning: Collaborate with finance team to analyze and forecast revenue and prepare and manage budgets, oversee management of advertising inventory to drive most profitable sales, conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making and investment prioritization, and develop pricing strategies and revenue models that maximize profitability while maintaining competitiveness in the market
- Leadership & Team Development: Provide strong leadership and mentorship to revenue team (marketing, advertising, production, and sales operations), fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability; Recruit, onboard, and develop top talent to build a high-performing revenue organization; Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development to keep the team ahead of industry trends and best practices
- Supervisory Responsibility: Supervises the full, relatively small staff of TLJ Operations (sales, admin, warehouse)
WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of increasing leadership roles and proven success driving revenue growth through new product development, marketing, branding, and partnerships in a B2B sales environment
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or related field required, or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Competencies: Strong understanding of sales and marketing acumen and principles, including hands-on management and P&L experience; Deep understanding of maximizing markets, customers, and competitors in order to target needs and drive sales; Intrinsically motivated and inspirational, influential leadership ability to push self and teams to achieve and exceed revenue growth goals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking proficiency, highly accountable to objectives and key results (OKRs) and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Systems: Strong proficiency in maximizing CRM platforms to support sales, marketing, and customer data management and analytics; Experience in HubSpot, Google Suite, and QuickBooks preferred
- Location / Travel: If located in Salt Lake City, UT, must be willing to travel regularly to Olathe, KS (regularly at first and about every 6 weeks once up-to-speed); If located in Olathe, KS, must be willing to travel regularly to Salt Lake City, UT
