Looking to hire a Warehouse Operations Manager to operate a newly opened facility for a growing 3PL with multiple facilities. Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of warehousing, equipment and staffing requirements and procedures. The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for the receiving, shipping, storage, and distribution functions related to the Third Party Logistics (3PL) operations in a Multi Client Warehouse. This individual ensures that company processes are followed to provide accurate inventory and timely receipts and shipments to meet our customer demands. This individual will be responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and assigning teams for inbound and outbound shipments as well as daily and weekly goals within warehouse. This individual will also work closely with the customers to ensure complete understanding of their needs as well as notifying and resolving exceptions as they occur. This is a “hands-on” position that will require a working knowledge of all aspects of 3PL/ Multi Client warehousing and distribution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for the inbound and outbound receipt, verification, handling and physical movement of customer and company inventory.
· Responsible for all inventory within the warehouse.
· Implements work instructions for receiving, palletizing, labeling, storing, picking, shipping and additional value add services as required using warehouse best practices.
· Responsible to ensure safe working processes and conditions.
· Responsible for ensuring all warehouse activities are in compliance with OSHA regulations
· Ensure timely receipt and shipment of all customer products to meet each customer’s requirements.
· Utilize the software tools provided to maximize storage and time efficiencies.
· Responsible for resolving issues for both internal and external customers.
· Works with customer service teams to identify areas to improve/enhance overall service to the customer.
· Responsible for training employees.
· Responsible for the security of the warehouse.
· Ensures safety is a number one consideration on the warehouse floor.
· Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
· Experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory management experience in a 3PL/Multi Client facility.
· Experience with operations management and supervisory experience.
· Knowledge of warehouse regulatory standards.
· Experience with warehouse equipment.
· Experience with warehouse management systems.
· Experience with forwarding and logistics.
· Experience with Big Box Retailers preferred
