Position Summary :

Responsible for accurately and safely receiving and storing materials and processing incoming shipments. Distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Identifying, sorting, cleaning, and entering returned materials into customer return sales orders and preparing that material to be re-stocked into physical inventory.

Essential Functions :

Receiving :

• Unload trucks accurately receiving merchandise, matching bills of lading to purchase orders.
• Interpret customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and / or shipped.
• Move and sort materials and items from receiving or storage areas to other designated areas according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Mark materials with identifying information using the appropriate method and record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via RF gun.
• Weigh and count items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Prepare parcels for mailing.

Returns :

• Utilize Total Warehouse Logistics (TWL) and Cloud System Distribution (CSD) software to enter returned items accurately and efficiently while taking every measure to maintain full transactional transparency regarding the material being credited.
• Identify and organize returned industrial gas cylinders to the proper empty cylinder locations and create / receive a customer credit based on the tank cores returned.
• Examine returned rental equipment and complete the appropriate return checklist form to ensure it is viable and complete for sending to the next customer, creating / receiving the proper credit paperwork, and creating the subsequent rental billing.
• Identify, sort, inspect, and clean all returned linear products, create the appropriate customer return credit, and receive that linear product to the appropriate location to be put back into physical inventory.
• Help alleviate workflow reduction within the returns department on a needed basis.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must possess strong mathematical aptitude.
• Must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage time effectively.
• Must be able to communicate in English concerning the position's essential functions.
• Requires the ability to effectively build rapport with internal and external customers.
• Requires a positive attitude and ability to function independently and in a team setting.
• Must be computer literate in all Microsoft Office products.

Required Experience and Education :

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of prior warehouse experience in similar roles.
• Prior forklift experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Demands :

• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and / or pull 50 lbs.
• Requires visual, hearing, and speech acuity.
• Requires the ability to stand and walk long distances for extended periods of time.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures and elements, noise, and fumes.
