Retail Tire Sales Associate

Pete’s Tire Barns was started by Peter A. Gerry in 1968 and has grown to one of the largest independent commercial tire dealerships in the country. Pete’s currently operates 22 full-service locations in New England, a state-of-the art Distribution Center, 3 Bandag retread facility, employs in excess of 300 people, and operates a fleet of over 100 service and delivery vehicles. Today, approximately 90% of our business is in the commercial truck tire and related markets.

Retail Tire Sales Associate Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• Minimum of 3 years in the tire industry preferred
• Driver's License & clean driving record required
• Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience required

Retail Tire Sales Associate Requirements:

• Interacts with customers, recommends products and schedules service
• Processes paperwork and utilizes company computer systems to help maintain proper billing and inventory
• Builds customer satisfaction and loyalty
• Provides tire and auto products and services
• Merchandising, Advertising and Promotion of Products and Services
• Involvement in every aspect of the store operation
• Energetic responsiveness to every customer, on the phone and in the store
• Attention to each customer’s needs: documenting and determining the best response and solution to a wide variety of situations
• Follows proper checkout procedures: explaining all warranties and options to the customer

Physical Demands:

This role is primarily sedentary, continuously required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Exert 10-20 pounds of force occasionally.
