A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A RETAIL STORE DIRECTOR

As the mastermind behind the scenes, you'll orchestrate the daily operations of our grocery store like a maestro, adapting to the unique demands of each season. In the summer months, we cater to the needs of tourists, experiencing elevated sales of unique items that capture the essence of our picturesque location. In the winter months, we provide essential staples for the residents of Joseph, ensuring our shelves are stocked with everything they need.

Your role as Retail Store Director will involve optimizing staff schedules, analyzing sales data, and devising innovative strategies for growth. Every decision you make will directly impact the customer experience, whether it's delighting tourists or fulfilling the everyday needs of our local community. With your leadership, our grocery store will thrive in meeting the distinct demands of each season, leaving our customers with smiles on their faces.

WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR NEW RETAIL STORE DIRECTOR

• 10 years in the industry with at least two years Assistant Manager position.
• Thorough knowledge of the retail food business
• Thorough knowledge of perishable department operations
• Merchandising skills and the ability to make timely and effective decisions
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, financial statements, P&L, and legal documents
• Ability to write presentations and present information effectively
• Proficient when using a computer

• A college degree
