Retail Store Manager - Museum plans and directs the day-to-day operations of a retail store within a museum. Develops strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability. The Sales Associate will have an energetic and outgoing personality, and will be ready to assist shoppers in finding souvenirs!
Hours for this position will be 9am - 5pm. Help is needed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. You may be required to work weekends if necessary.
DUTIES:
Support customers at point of sale to ensure a great shopping experience and enhance Museum visit.
Maintain familiarity with inventory to facilitate sales.
Handle customer returns, refunds and exchanges at register to maintain friendly work attitude.
Finish regular sales transaction in cash, credit and checks.
Guarantee integrity and accurate cash handling.
Process routine Foundation memberships.
Open and close retail location including cash handling and deposits.
Re-stock sales floor daily.
Answer telephone and route to appropriate person
Maintain a clean and tidy sales floor and break-room.
Count inventory as assigned.
(potential to) Assist in receiving merchandise and packaging.
(potential to) Assist with shipping out online orders.
(potential to) Assist with photography and product updates for web store.
(potential to) Assist with email marketing and graphics.
Other duties as assigned.
