The Position

We are currently seeking a full time Department Supervisor to join our team in the Rockingham store. The qualified candidate will direct and coordinate activities on the sales floor relating to personnel, merchandising, and inventory control.

This position is located at The Vermont Country Store, 1292 Rockingham Road, Rockingham, VT  05101.

A Sampling of What You’ll Do 

• Supervise sales floor staff ensuring tasks are performed efficiently and effectively
• Act as the Floor Manager including duties related to opening and closing the Store
• Train new staff on procedures relating to operations and customer service
• Become an expert on the benefits and features of the products within your departments and the Store

Who We’re Looking For

• 2-3 years retail experience and/or buying experience
• Strong supervision and leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail oriented with excellent follow through
• Positive, team-oriented attitude
• Ability to prioritize work in a multi-disciplined environment
• Flexible and dependable
