Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Construction to oversee our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail construction, client customer service, plan execution and training development. As the Director of Construction, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the construction process, from planning and budgeting to execution and completion. This is a leadership role that requires excellent organizational and administrative skills.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee all construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget

- Develop and implement construction strategies and plans

- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project specifications are met

- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary

- Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards

- Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and approving invoices

- Provide leadership and guidance to construction teams

- Train and develop staff in construction techniques and best practices

- Conduct interviews and hire qualified construction personnel

- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)

- Proven experience as a Director of Construction or similar role

- Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, and regulations

- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients

- Proficient in retail math for budgeting purposes

- Training development skills to effectively train construction staff

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Multilingual abilities are advantageous in communicating with diverse teams

- Administrative skills for managing project documentation and reports

- Previous experience in store management or sales management is beneficial
