Retail Receiving Clerk - Full Time jobs in Pasadena, TX

Monday thru Friday

Provides receptionist and patient registration assistance in the clinic setting.

• Performs established procedures for opening/closing of the office.
• Greets and assists patients and visitors in a manner consistent with customer service guidelines.
• Confirms patient appointments one day in advance of scheduled appointment.
• Registers patients in Athena according to established procedures.
• Works Athena registration tasks on a daily basis. 
• Answers telephone calls, takes messages, and directs caller to proper extension.
• Provides estimate of charges and collects upfront according to Clinic discount policy.
• Confirms insurance eligibility and demographic information on each patient visit.
• Accepts patient payments and records appropriately according to Clinic policy.
• Schedules new patient and follow up appointments.
  
• Documents any no-shows and cancellations in the Athena system. 
• Performs daily collections reconciliation and bank deposits according to Clinic policy.
• Files or faxes documents according to Clinic policy.
• Performance of other duties, as assigned.
• Assures that all tasks performed are in compliance with related State and Federal guidelines, rules and regulations.
• Abides by Hospital policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
