Retail Loss Prevention Director jobs in Petaluma, CA

OVERVIEW:

This is a full-time position responsible for designing, implementing, and administrating Risk Management and Loss Prevention plans for key industry segments in which we operate, with a focus on downstream energy (fuel distribution). This person will work to identify, build, and manage a vendor network of Loss Prevention and Claims Management service providers, assist in authoring compliance audits and supplemental applications and aid in creation and administration of program specific Risk Management platforms. Additionally, this position will be responsible for coordinating service plans in conjunction with our insurance carrier partners and/or vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Review key industry segments in which Tangram operates and, through identification of “best practices”, determine the most efficient and cost-effective Risk Management plan for each
• Review current Risk Management services provided by carrier partners and assess their effectiveness and value to our customers.
• Coordinate loss control services and service plans with carriers, included assisting and providing ways to mitigate, minimize, control, and transfer risk through the prudent use of risk management, insurance programs and recommendations of safety and loss control techniques.
• Provide industry-specific expertise and knowledge to inform underwriting decisions around certain exposures.
• Order and review compliance audits in adherence to program underwriting guidelines, at the direction of the underwriting team.
• Develop uniform service standards to which vendors would adhere.
• Identify and develop vetting process for vendors for compliance audits, environmental claims management, industry specific trainings.
• Identify program specific risk management material that can be provided electronically.
• Develop platform for smaller, less complex risks.
• Design industry specific Compliance Audits and Supplemental Applications
• Serve as liaison for the management of “industry related” claims.
• Work with carriers in ensuring loss control service offerings are best in class and in line with customer demands and carrier requirements.
• Assess industries in which Tangram is contemplating new program development.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 10 years of insurance industry experience in risk management, risk engineering or loss prevention roles.
• College degree or acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of DOT, OSHA and Propane & Fuel Industry standards.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Excellent written communication skills
• Ability to stay organized, prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Personal initiative to work independently.
• Solid internet, Excel and Word skills.

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000. The offer will depend on the geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
