Wuollet Bakery is a locally-owned family-run business that has been Twin Cities' leader in the bakery and specialty cakes business for over 75 years.

We are looking for an experienced individual to join our management team as a Retail Director. We currently have 9 locations across Minneapolis and St.Paul.

The Retail Director focuses on collaboratively working with the store retail teams on improving operational excellence as well as closely working with top management to implement new sales strategies.

The candidate must be a progressive thinker and possess the ability to build, train, and motivate a team, have excellent management, analytical skills, and strong computer skills.

Key responsibilities include building and directing a strong retail team, managing labor, overseeing store displays, coordinating and overseeing reporting, and day-to-day operational functions in accordance with company standards.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Recruit, interview, and train new retail team employees
• Manage sales labor
• Design, set up, and maintain in-store sales displays
• Oversee day-to-day retail operations
• Oversee and maintain inventory to keep stores well-stocked
• Travel between different store branches
• Analyze retail stores' daily sales reports and P&L
• Work closely with top management to design and implement new promotions and sales strategies

The Ideal Candidate has:

• Extensive experience in positions of progressive responsibility in operational management including strategic planning, project management, change leadership, and budget development.
• Experience in leading significant operational changes to achieve business profitability.
• Desire and ability to lead and develop a diverse workgroup of employees.
• Experience establishing a safe, clean work environment in a retail setting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in Microsoft Office and POS programs
• Knowledge of retail operations.
• A strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate analytics into insights that lead to action
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate objectives clearly
• Experience in identifying and developing new processes and/or process improvements.
• A customer-oriented attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
