- Position: Ironworker “Bullganger” (Ironworker with Millwright experience) Reports to: General Foreman or Superintendent Department: Operations Status: Regular Full-time; Non-exempt Project Location: Project Duration: Job Summary Raises, modified, places and bolts or welds structural-steel members to form completed structures or structure frameworks, working as a member of a crew. Job Responsibilities Selects cables, ropes, pullup, winches, blocks, and sheaves according to weight and size of load to be moved. Attach pullup and blocks to fixed overhead structures, such as beams, ceilings and gin pole boom with bolts and clamps Assembles and disassembles cranes. Splices rope and wire cables to make or repair slings or tackle. Attach load with grappling devices, such as loops, wire rope and chains to crane hook. Gives direction to operator engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and material handled using hand signals and radios. Sets up, braces and rigs hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches. Responsible for observing and monitoring others observance of all safety rules. Hook-on or move material around the field site by hand or with the assistance of a forklift or crane. Align, fit, and tack steel shapes together utilizing temporary erection gear, fit up (pry) bars, and sledgehammers. Erect and dismantle temporary scaffolding used in steel plate construction. Inspect, set up, break down, and rig equipment such as aerial work platforms (spider buggies), elevated work platforms, and staging. Job Qualifications 3-5 years proven experience as an Ironworker. Welding experience preferred. OSHA 10 / Basic Plus / TWIC High School Diploma / GED NCCER Preferred Graywolf Integrated Construction Company is an equal opportunity employer.
