    REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer

    SUPERVISES: All Slot Team Members


    WORKING HOURS:

    This is a salaried, exempt position. The incumbent is expected to devote such time and energy as is reasonably necessary to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. Position will require availability evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.


    SUMMARY: Maximizes casino revenue through service, optimal game mix and product analysis.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Serves as key member of the River Rock Executive Team.
    2. Develops short- and long-term slot floor strategies for slot pricing, machine mix, participation/WAP games, progressives, and signage to maximize departmental profitability.
    3. Negotiates with vendors for all gaming related purchases.
    4. Develops and analyzes complex statistical slot machine data and variance reports.
    5. Ensures compliance of all required tribal, state and casino regulations.
    6. Responsible for detecting and enforcing corrective action against cheating, fraud and disruptions as company policy dictates.
    7. Ensures that all Slot Operations Team members are providing optimal guest service and have the highest level of technical expertise.
    8. Develops Annual Business Plans and Budgets and provides periodic forecasts based on business trends.
    9. Ensures the highest degree of departmental profitability by maximizing revenue and carefully controlling
    10. Commits to the Team R.O.C.K. Philosophy.
    11. Commits to the Team R.O.C.K. "Leadership Pledge" and "Core Leadership Qualities".
    12. Meets the attendance guidelines of the
    13. Adheres to regulatory, department and company policies and procedures.
    14. Attends all required meetings and training.
    15. Always maintains confidentiality.
    16. Performs other duties as assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, termination, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, reward and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required. The Director of Slot Operations must have a:

    1. Minimum of ten (10) years of Slot Management experience
    2. High degree of technical proficiency and expertise regarding all aspects of the , slot system, and related equipment
    3. Complete understanding of the configuration and setup of gaming equipment from all slot manufacturers.
    4. Must possess high level experience in supporting, updating, and maintaining the Slot Accounting System (Bally SDS preferred)
    5. Strong analytical abilities needed to maximize game performance
    6. Specific knowledge of casino rules, procedures and regulations pertaining to slot repair
    7. Strong communications, math, administrative and organizational skills
    8. Must have superior computer skills including all MS-Office software, Word and Excel,(managing worksheets, formatting cells, advanced Excel functions including charts and generating formulas for sorting data) and Auto-CADD or Auto-CADD " Lite."
    9. Must be able to work independently.
    10. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
    11. Must always present a professional appearance.
    12. Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with respect to all matters pertaining to the gaming enterprise business.

    EDUCATION:

    1. BA/BS degree or combination of experience and education is required.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    1. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
    2. Excellent oral and written communication skills are important to the successful conduct of this position.
    3. Ability to write accurate, grammatically correct, polished reports and business correspondence.
    4. Must be able to speak with the public in a professional manner.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    1. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure-must understand and employ statistical analysis to slot performance.

    REASONING ABILITY:

    1. Ability to proactively streamline processes for company's return on investment.
    2. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    3. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
    4. Ability to process detailed work and requests for information or assistance in a timely manner.
    5. Ability to apply regulatory and procedure doctrine, concepts, and policy to practical situations.

    LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:

    1. Must possess a valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
    2. Must be able to obtain a gaming license from the Dry Creek Gaming Commission.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    1. Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
    2. Must be able to lift and carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
    3. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
