Monitor patient flow, equipment utilization, and resource allocation to meet patient care needs.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance measures to maintain high standards of patient care and safety. Conduct regular audits, reviews, and assessments of clinical practices, documentation, and outcomes. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards related to respiratory therapy services. Keep abreast of regulatory changes and update policies, procedures, and practices accordingly.
Budget Oversight: Manage departmental budgets, including expenses for staffing, supplies, equipment, and maintenance•Monitor expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and prepare budget reports for review.
Equipment and Supplies Management: Oversee the procurement, maintenance, and inventory management of respiratory therapy equipment, supplies, and medications. Coordinate repairs, calibrations, and replacements as necessary to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety standards.
Patient Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care activities related to respiratory therapy services. Ensure timely and appropriate delivery of respiratory treatments, interventions, and education to patients and their families.
Documentation and Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in medical records. Generate reports, statistics, and performance metrics to track departmental activities and outcomes.
Continuing Education and Training: Facilitate ongoing education and training for staff to enhance skills, promote professional development, and maintain licensure and certification requirements
