Respiratory Therapy Director directs the programs and staff of the respiratory therapy department. Oversees the provision of diagnostic, treatment, and educational services for patients with respiratory disorders. Being a Respiratory Therapy Director develops and implements respiratory care services in accordance with the policies of the hospital and the directives of the medical staff. Monitors patient progress and treatment plans. Additionally, Respiratory Therapy Director manages departmental budgets and reports, and maintains department records and statistics. Requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires Registered Respiratory Therapist. The Respiratory Therapy Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     What we're looking for: Respiratory Therapy Director of Clinical Education at our Rancho Cordova campus.

    Do you have a passion for education and seeing students thrive? San Joaquin Valley College Program Director position could be a great fit. The Program Directors applies their expertise and knowledge of the program major(s) under their supervision in three general areas: faculty qualifications, curriculum content and outcome assessment. Program Directors participate in college governance, committees and task forces. Program Directors may have teaching assignments on an on-going or intermittent basis. Under the direct supervision of the Campus President/Campus Dean and technical supervision of the Director of Instruction, the Program Director develops and implements a variety of services to enrich the SJVC experience for our on-campus students.

    What We Offer: The targeted starting pay range for this position is between $85,000-$95,000 per year. Our benefits program for full-time colleagues includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as flexible spending and health savings accounts. You will accrue two to three weeks of paid vacation your first five years with eleven paid holidays. We offer state-compliant sick leave, disability insurance, and company-paid life insurance. We offer a 401k profit-sharing plan with a discretionary match and tuition assistance to employees beginning your first day of employment.

    • Bachelors: Masters preferred.
    • RRT credential (issued by NBRC)
    • Licensed or eligible for licensure in California
    • Background investigation and drug screen
    • AHA BLS Provider Certified required.
    • BLS Instructor Certification preferred.
    • NOTE: An instructor card is equivalent to the BLS CPR and First Aid cards and can be presented singly for compliance

    Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM
