Respiratory Care Manager jobs in Ohio

Respiratory Care Manager plans and implements the overall respiratory care policies, procedures, and services. Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations. Being a Respiratory Care Manager directs the activities of the respiratory therapy section. Supervises technical staff and students. Additionally, Respiratory Care Manager prepares departmental budgets and reports. Evaluates new equipment and procedures. Typically requires RRT registration. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Respiratory Care Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Respiratory Care Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     $32.50 to $41.00 an hour Depending on experience

    Shift differential of $2.50 an hour for Nightshift

    General Summary/Responsibilities:

    The Respiratory Therapist functions in a skilled role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care. The RT is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for patient populations served. Administers inhalation treatments by using prescribed equipment (e.g., masks; assembles & applies pressure devices such as those for intermittent positive pressure breathing, various types of resuscitators & ventilators; assembles equipment & administers aerosol therapy to clients. The RT will coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team to promote excellent patient experience. RT will report changes in patient condition to appropriate personnel and the attending physician, and participates in coordination of services with other disciplines and community resources as needed The RT is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Ohio Respiratory Care Laws, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional and system policies.

    Education

    Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree.

    • Area of study or major: Respiratory Care or NBRC approved registry requirements
    • Position specific testing requirement: N/A

    Licensure/Certification/Registration

    • Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License
