    Position Title:Lead Coordinator Learning and Staff Development

    Department: Administration

    Reports to: Director of Learning and Staff Development

    FLSA: Non-exempt

    Supervisor responsibilities: N/A

    Starting Rate: $24.13 - $25.06 hourly

    General Description:

    The Learning Coordinator provides support across departments by developing and providing resources, tools and facilitating learning opportunities using appropriate adult learning modalities of training to develop employees to provide high quality supports and services to the people we serve. This includes supporting the development and maintenance of training suites. This position requires strong customer service and conflict resolution skills, collaboration with others internally and externally to the organization, and adaptability within a highly regulatory environment. Must be a champion of change management and the ability to produce quality work in a variety of environments and locations against multiple deadlines. This job requires experience working with technology, adaptability to people and systems, driving responsibilities and a commitment to helping those in need.

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

    1. Create and deliver multi-modality, multi-media training materials and deliver those materials in a classroom or work environment across multiple counties in-person, virtually, and in a hybrid environment on a regular and consistent basis.
    2. Assist with developing and implementing an effective staff development system that integrates technical and mandatory state-level training, organizational level training and team/individual level learning opportunities grounded in best practices for adult learning and development.
    1. Create, refine, and disseminate training manuals and other educational materials.
    2. Collaborate with subject matter experts across TRE departments and units to design and develop effective department and team specific training courses.
    1. Create and assist with curriculum design strategy, integrating adult learning modalities, to deliver comprehensive, integrated curriculum that ensures alignment with business needs, defines success and competency metrics, and includes a prioritized action plan for execution.
    2. Support Learning Management Systems (LMS) by maintaining course curriculum and troubleshooting issues, internally and externally, per contract requirements.
    3. Support positive team environment and relationships; work with teams to develop a climate of mutual support and cooperation, assist teams in problem-solving.
    4. Support departments and teams with their onboarding tasks and needs, to include, but not limited to, preparing external applications, training calendars, course enrollments, Mandatory Reporting, etc.
    5. Maintain a current knowledgebase and understanding, or utilize subject matter experts, of contract rules, regulations, policies, memos, and changes that affect process at TRE to provide support, training, and disseminate information.
    6. Develop and deliver contract required trainings, while maintaining timeliness of trainings as outlined in the contract and training records for contract deliverables.
    7. Communicate with Supervisors and Leadership identified training needs and progress.
    8. Promote the culture of TRE while endorsing its mission, vision, and values through all interactions and aspects of employment.

     

    Other Duties/Responsibilities:

    1. Assure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations including but not limited to Federal, State and other governing agencies.
    2. Have an understanding of all governing parties and partnerships in the service delivery system.
    1. Ability to work with a variety of technology including cell phones, tablets, technology applications, platforms, and software.
    2. Willing to stay connected to co-workers electronically.
    1. Participate in professional opportunities (workshops, conferences, readings, etc.) based on personal professional goals and organizational needs.

    Job Qualifications:

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    Minimum: A Bachelor's level degree of education, five (5) years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities, or some combination of education and experience appropriate to the requirements of the position (experience must be specifically documented and verifiable on your application.) If an individual does not meet the educational requirement, considerations may be made if the individual has experience working with long-term services and supports (LTSS) population, in a private or public agency, or has a combination of LTSS experience and education, demonstrating a strong emphasis in a human behavioral science field. Must also possess working knowledge of Colorado Medicaid Home and Community Based Services Waiver Long Term Care regulations. Knowledge of and experience working with community resources and resource development. Experience training adults and contemporary knowledge of various learning styles and methods. An understanding of person-centered thinking and the ability to incorporate this into effective professional development practices.

    Preferred: One (1) or more years experience at TRE or other non-profit organization as a Service Coordinator or Case Manager in case management environment. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Psychology, Education, Human Services, or other closely related field. Experience working with families and community resources; knowledge of family dynamics and resource development. Working knowledge of Medicaid Waiver programs and requirements; experience working with persons with disabilities in a community, employment, or recreational setting. Supervision or management experience helpful.

    Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
    • Strong teaming and collaboration skills.
    • Strong advocacy skills.
    • Independently organize daily tasks and activities to ensure strict deadlines are met while prioritizing emergencies as they arise. Qualified coordinators have a strong skillset with organization.
    • The ability to effectively lead trainings in-person, virtually, or within a hybrid model.

    Material and Equipment Directly Used: Computers/tablets, Printers, Copy Machines, Personal Vehicle, Cell phones/telephone, Cloud based systems and software, etc.

    Working Environment/Physical Activities: Office, community, private residences, commercial properties, and virtual environment settings. Moderate physical activity required, such as walking, sitting, standing, and lifting up to 20 pounds. (Provides ADA accommodations at the request of the employee.) A working vehicle, valid CO driver’s license (unless active Military family), and auto insurance coverage with bodily injury and property damage liability coverage ($100,000/$300,000/$100,000 coverage recommended) is recommended.
