General Description:
The Learning Coordinator provides support across departments by developing and providing resources, tools and facilitating learning opportunities using appropriate adult learning modalities of training to develop employees to provide high quality supports and services to the people we serve. This includes supporting the development and maintenance of training suites. This position requires strong customer service and conflict resolution skills, collaboration with others internally and externally to the organization, and adaptability within a highly regulatory environment. Must be a champion of change management and the ability to produce quality work in a variety of environments and locations against multiple deadlines. This job requires experience working with technology, adaptability to people and systems, driving responsibilities and a commitment to helping those in need.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum: A Bachelor's level degree of education, five (5) years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities, or some combination of education and experience appropriate to the requirements of the position (experience must be specifically documented and verifiable on your application.) If an individual does not meet the educational requirement, considerations may be made if the individual has experience working with long-term services and supports (LTSS) population, in a private or public agency, or has a combination of LTSS experience and education, demonstrating a strong emphasis in a human behavioral science field. Must also possess working knowledge of Colorado Medicaid Home and Community Based Services Waiver Long Term Care regulations. Knowledge of and experience working with community resources and resource development. Experience training adults and contemporary knowledge of various learning styles and methods. An understanding of person-centered thinking and the ability to incorporate this into effective professional development practices.
Preferred: One (1) or more years experience at TRE or other non-profit organization as a Service Coordinator or Case Manager in case management environment. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Psychology, Education, Human Services, or other closely related field. Experience working with families and community resources; knowledge of family dynamics and resource development. Working knowledge of Medicaid Waiver programs and requirements; experience working with persons with disabilities in a community, employment, or recreational setting. Supervision or management experience helpful.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Material and Equipment Directly Used: Computers/tablets, Printers, Copy Machines, Personal Vehicle, Cell phones/telephone, Cloud based systems and software, etc.
Working Environment/Physical Activities: Office, community, private residences, commercial properties, and virtual environment settings. Moderate physical activity required, such as walking, sitting, standing, and lifting up to 20 pounds. (Provides ADA accommodations at the request of the employee.) A working vehicle, valid CO driver’s license (unless active Military family), and auto insurance coverage with bodily injury and property damage liability coverage ($100,000/$300,000/$100,000 coverage recommended) is recommended.
