N.E.W. Boces is seeking two dedicated and compassionate Residential Supervisors to join our team in our substitute care facility. As a Residential Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the well-being of residents within our care. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to maintain a supportive and nurturing environment, and a commitment to promoting the physical, emotional, and social development of residents.

**Responsibilities:**

1. **Supervision and Leadership:**

  - Provide leadership and guidance to residential staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.

  - Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements governing substitute care facilities.

  - Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.

2. **Resident Care:**

  - Monitor the overall well-being of residents and ensure their safety and security.

  - Coordinate and oversee the implementation of individualized care plans in collaboration with other team members and external stakeholders.

  - Respond promptly to crises, emergencies, or behavioral issues, utilizing appropriate intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies.

3. **Program Management:**

  - Assist in the development and implementation of recreational, educational, and therapeutic programs to meet the diverse needs of residents.

  - Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident care, incidents, and progress towards goals.

4. **Family and Community Engagement:**

  - Establish and maintain open communication channels with residents' families or guardians, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or inquiries.

  - Cultivate positive relationships with the local community and participate in outreach efforts to promote awareness and support for the facility's mission.

5. **Facility Maintenance:**

  - Oversee the cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of the facility, including common areas, living quarters, and outdoor spaces.

  - Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
