Residential Living Assistant jobs in Wisconsin
Residential Living Assistant provides individualized care to the patients of a group home or residential living facility. Assists the patients on daily basis with personal care and hygiene. Being a Residential Living Assistant transports patients within the facility or on supervised outings. Administers and records medications given to residents. Additionally, Residential Living Assistant may administer medications under the supervision of a nurse or physician. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Residential Living Assistant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. As a Residential Coordinator, you will be responsible for the overall operation of your assigned service sites, including staff, budget, compliance with State/Federal regulations or standards of service, and general quality of service to individuals served in these programs.
The residential Coordinator will also take direction from the owner regarding referrals, assessments, and/or coordinating duties.
Education/ Experience:- Four-year college degree or university.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities.
- One year of supervisory experience in personal care services or a related program.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English.
Other Requirements:- Motor vehicle record which meets agency standards for approval.
- A valid Minnesota or Wisconsin Driver’s license.
- Completion of a health questionnaire and TB gold test.
- Required agency training.
- Pass a caregiver background study.
