Residential Living Assistant provides individualized care to the patients of a group home or residential living facility. Assists the patients on daily basis with personal care and hygiene. Being a Residential Living Assistant transports patients within the facility or on supervised outings. Administers and records medications given to residents. Additionally, Residential Living Assistant may administer medications under the supervision of a nurse or physician. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Residential Living Assistant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Residential Director (RD) is responsible for the overall direction, training, management and leadership of home and community based services (HCBS) programs and staff. The RD oversees the implementation of the Person-centered Planning process, required assessments and active treatment programs. Works in conjunction with the Assistant Residential Directors and Direct Support Supervisors in the implementation and monitoring of Individual Support Plans. Responsible to complete tasks related to the over site of multiple sites in coordination with the Supervisors of each site, to ensure the overall functioning of the sites in terms of programmatic and individual services.
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday, Wednesday, & Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, every other weekend, however, must be flexible with hours. Could include some evenings and weekends for supervisory monitoring or covering vacant shifts.
