Job Summary:
As an Urgent Care Physician, you will provide immediate medical care to patients with non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and examinations
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries

Medical Director Responsibilities:
- Provide medical oversight and leadership to the urgent care facility, ensuring that high-quality patient care is delivered in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Supervise and collaborate with other physicians, advanced practice providers (such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants), and clinical staff to ensure proper staffing levels and effective patient care delivery.

- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, departments, and external stakeholders to coordinate patient care, facilitate referrals, and promote seamless transitions of care.
- Participate in budget planning and resource allocation to support efficient and effective operations of the urgent care facility.
- Conduct performance evaluations for clinical staff, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement or recognition.
- Develop and implement plans for emergency preparedness and response, including protocols for managing medical emergencies within the urgent care setting.
- Participate in community outreach activities, educational programs, and partnerships to promote health and wellness and enhance the visibility and reputation of the urgent care facility.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license in the state of Texas
- Board certification in Urgent Care Medicine or family medicine
- Unrestricted DEA license
- DOT certification is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
