Urgentology Care is a growing small privately owned urgent care practice in DFW with two location in the heart of the DFW metroplex (Arlington and Colleyville). We are seeking a skilled and compassionate physician with a growth mindset to join our enthusiastic team.

Job Summary:
As an Urgent Care Physician, you will provide immediate medical care to patients with non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries. Your expertise and dedication will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced urgent care setting. This position includes medical director responsibilities with bonus opportunity.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and examinations
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries
- Administer appropriate medications and treatments
- Perform minor surgical procedures as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Adhere to medical standards and infection control protocols
- Stay updated on the latest medical advancements and treatment options

Medical Director Responsibilities:

- Provide medical oversight and leadership to the urgent care facility, ensuring that high-quality patient care is delivered in accordance with established protocols and standards.

- Supervise and collaborate with other physicians, advanced practice providers (such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants), and clinical staff to ensure proper staffing levels and effective patient care delivery.

- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to assess and improve clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

- Provide ongoing training, education, and professional development opportunities for clinical staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including licensure, accreditation, and quality reporting standards.

- Implement strategies to promote patient safety, minimize clinical risks, and address patient complaints or concerns effectively.

- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, departments, and external stakeholders to coordinate patient care, facilitate referrals, and promote seamless transitions of care.

- Participate in budget planning and resource allocation to support efficient and effective operations of the urgent care facility.

- Conduct performance evaluations for clinical staff, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement or recognition.

- Develop and implement plans for emergency preparedness and response, including protocols for managing medical emergencies within the urgent care setting.

- Participate in community outreach activities, educational programs, and partnerships to promote health and wellness and enhance the visibility and reputation of the urgent care facility.

Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license in the state of Texas
- Board certification in Urgent Care Medicine or family medicine
- Unrestricted DEA license
- DOT certification is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Pay: $180,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 34 – 44 per week
