Behavioral Care Partners care for children during their stay to assist them with activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, and the management of harmful behaviors. Responsible for delivering competent and skilled care to patients and families with a team-oriented approach and an emphasis on good customer relations under the direction of the RN/LVN. Schedule/Location: This is a part-time position working Wed & Thurs evenings (24 hours per week) Cook Children's Medical Center (Fort Worth, TX) Benefits available. Required Education/Experience: High school Diploma. One of the following: a. Completion of a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) course. Or b. Completion of Medical Assistant (MA) course or other comparable health care provider program with course work in patient assessment/vital signs, growth and development. Or c. Completion of the fifirst clinical semester in accredited nursing program. Experience working with children/adolescents in an inpatient psychiatry or partial hospital psychiatric treatment is preferred. Certification/Licensure: BLS or must be completed within 60 days of start date. CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Childrens Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date.
