Long Term Care Facility is looking for a full time and part RN -Registered Nurse Evening Supervisor to care for our Residents and facilitate their speedy recovery. The candidate will be part of the professional Nursing Administrative Team. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care. The goal is to promote the patient’s well-being by providing high-quality nursing care.
How you will make an impact:
- Perform walking rounds throughout facility (skilled nursing, long term care, and memory care) to ensure nursing staff are providing the highest level of resident care possible
- Review, adjust and monitor nursing staffing on all neighborhoods to ensure appropriate staff is available to provide resident care and meet established PPD.
- Effectively implement a person centered approach to care, focusing on the resident’s strengths while providing a sense of comfort, companionship and belonging.
- Assist in resolving resident/family concerns and grievances.
- Lead investigations for injuries of unknown origin, medication errors and/or abuse allegations as needed or requested. Complete supervisory reports as required by the Director of Nursing.
- Review documentation in medical records to ensure compliance with regulations, nursing standards of practice and policy.
Responsibilities of RN Supervisor:
- Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
- Observe and interpret Residents symptoms and communicate them to physicians
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
- Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections, etc.) and fill in patients’ charts
- Adjust and administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders
- Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds, etc.)
- Provide instant medical care in emergencies
- Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants
- Foster, a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
- Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences, etc.
What we require:
- Graduate from Accredited School of Nursing is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in skilled nursing, long-term care or assisted living
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience
- Licensed in the state as a Registered Nurse.
- Current CPR certification required.
