Mealtime is an important part of their day, and we need someone who understands the importance of good quality meals and is looking to make a difference in the lives of others.
As a cook in our senior living community, you will have an enormous impact on our residents' quality of life. Utilizing our registered dietitian, we have planned menus that will allow you to utilize your creativity, presentation flare and incorporate some of your favorite recipes. Mealtime is the highlight of the day for many of our residents. Our restaurant style dining and selective dining menu allows you as the cook to use your creativity while working close with other team members. You will work together to ensure and maintain a clean, sanitary and safe working environment.
You will be responsible to consistently maintain stands of quality cost, presentation, and flavor of foods. You will work closely with all residents and staff; you will assist in receiving and storing supplies to prevent waste and assure quality products. Date, label, and store items properly. You will use proper food handling techniques. You will be responsible to review menus, recipes and production sheets before preparing meals. Prepares and serves diets properly, accurately and attractively planned using proper portion sizes. You will ensure proper temperatures of foods, tasting of foods of all consistency and ensure timing of preparation of meals / snacks to meet time as scheduled.
