Residential Care Facilities Manager oversees facility services at an assisted living or skilled nursing facility, including building and grounds maintenance, laundry and housekeeping. Supervises and trains staff, and plans work schedules and assignments. Being a Residential Care Facilities Manager performs regular inspections to ensure that appearance and cleanliness standards are maintained, and that equipment is functioning properly. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Residential Care Facilities Manager typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Residential Care Facilities Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Residential Care Manager I, II, III
One (1) 3/4-Time/Non-Exempt/$19.95 - $24.15 per hour (DOE)
Pay differentials offered - must qualify through testing or verification for the following special competencies.
*Language Translation - Bi-cultural Spanish ($1.00 per hour) *Bimodal Bilingualism - ASL Sign Language - Interpret from American Sign Language (ASL) to English, and English to ASL. ($1.00 per hour)
Under general supervision Care Managers assist in providing rehabilitative, restorative treatment services, crisis intervention, therapeutic intervention, assessment evaluation, and moderately complex, professional-level case management, including visiting with clients in residential or other settings, making referrals and counseling with clients on various issues, and one-on-one behavioral support.
Must be able to drive personal vehicle for work related duties and transport of clients. 100,000 / 300,000 Liability Insurance required.
Classifications and Qualifications for Care Manager:
* *The education requirement for a Care Manager III - must be a minimum of two (2) years of education (60 semester or 90 quarter units) with a minimum of 12 semesters (18 quarter) units in a mental health-related subject area such as child development, social work, human behavior, rehabilitation, psychology, or alcohol and drug counseling.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position may work within ALL other agency programs, consistent with their scope of practice, on a as needed basis. In addition, may require an occasional flexible work schedule to meet the individualized needs of each client.
Employees with direct responsibility for children who are under 18 years of age or who are not emancipated from the foster care system and who, in either case, are receiving 24 hour residential care, and employees of 24 hour residential care facilities for the elderly, blind or developmentally disabled individuals may be required to work on-duty meal periods without penalty when necessary to meet regulatory or approved program standards and one of the following two conditions is met:
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CA Driver's License, Current Auto Insurance, Clean DMV Printout. A subsequent background check is required should you be chosen as a candidate for this position. CPR and First Aid Certified. TB Test and Physical at the time of employment.
