Residential Care Facilities Manager oversees facility services at an assisted living or skilled nursing facility, including building and grounds maintenance, laundry and housekeeping. Supervises and trains staff, and plans work schedules and assignments. Being a Residential Care Facilities Manager performs regular inspections to ensure that appearance and cleanliness standards are maintained, and that equipment is functioning properly. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Residential Care Facilities Manager typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Residential Care Facilities Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Residential Care Facilities Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     We are searching for a Manager- Facilities - Environment of Care. This individual will take pride and ownership in their regional facilities and will provide high quality and responsive support services. This person will partner with support service leadership to ensure collaborating and coordination of the frontline teams to ultimately provide the highest level of service for Southcoast's patients, employees, and visitors. Responsible for the safe, economical, and efficient operation of the hospital plant including maintenance of hospital buildings and reginal properties, grounds, equipment, and the distribution of steam, hot water, plumbing, electricity, air conditioning, refrigeration and other utility services. Duties require direct supervisory responsibility for all assigned personnel and activities.

    Education and/or Experience Requirements:

    • Must demonstrate/possess knowledge and skills necessary to communicate and interact with patients, employees, and all stakeholders, clients, and guests within scope of departmental services
    • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field or the equivalent experience required
    • 2nd Class Stationary Fireman's License or higher is preferred
    • Must possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
    • Must be qualified to determine whether it is safe to permit operating components of utility systems to be maintained in an alternative manner
    • 3 to 5 years of related work experience required.
    • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
