Residential Care Facilities Manager oversees facility services at an assisted living or skilled nursing facility, including building and grounds maintenance, laundry and housekeeping. Supervises and trains staff, and plans work schedules and assignments. Being a Residential Care Facilities Manager performs regular inspections to ensure that appearance and cleanliness standards are maintained, and that equipment is functioning properly. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Residential Care Facilities Manager typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Residential Care Facilities Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Residential Care Facilities Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. A $2500 sign-on bonus is available!Program Description:The South Hadley Girls Treatment Program provides young women between the ages of 13 – 18 with the educational, life skills, therapeutic, recreational, and support services needed to improve their behavior and ultimately return home and into their communities. Residents attend high school classes or GED courses and participate in a curriculum designed to impart new life skills to enable them to make healthier choices when re-entering their communities. Therapeutic services focus on helping each young woman develop strategies to increase coping skills and promote positive decision-making.
Responsibilities:- Familiar with the structure and activities that occur during each shift
- Coordinate all scheduled student activities and refer students to appropriate employees for support
- Observe and record all medication that has been taken and counted in the medication and narcotic log book
- Supervise shifts in the absence of a supervisor
- Administer prescribed medications in the absence of nursing staff
- Communicate all necessary information to the on-coming supervisor
- Complete required documentation prior to the end of the shift
Requirements:- At least 6 months of residential treatment experience
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license
- Bachelor’s degree - preferred
