Resident Field Technician removes, installs, repairs, disassembles, assembles, performs failure analyses of all equipment including engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, power train, brakes, steering, and electronic and computer applications. Work is done in shop or customers location. Being a Resident Field Technician home base is away from shop. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Resident Field Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Resident Field Technician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Alliance Consulting, Inc. is a multi-disciplinary civil, environmental, and mining engineering firm seeking a full time Field Technician/Inspector to perform environmental inspections and testing services in the mining, construction, oil and gas, and solid waste industries in WV and Illinois. Candidates may work directly with a Chief Inspector and Inspection Team of our client and report project status on a daily basis. You may supply overview inspections to evaluate that environmental regulations or project plans are being followed. The candidate will perform Quality Assurance testing on various materials encountered, including but not limited to soil, aggregate, and concrete.
Position candidates must have with these certifications is a plus:
Certified WVDOH or Compaction Inspector
Troxler Nuclear Density Certification
Certified WVDOH or Aggregate Inspector Certified
Certified WVDOH or Asphalt Technician
Certified WVDOH or ACI Portland Cement Concrete Inspector
40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER training for Hazardous Waste Operations (29CFR1910.120)
8-Hour Confined Space Training
40-Hour Surface Mine Health and Safety Training or Blackhat Card
Certified MSHA Impoundment Inspector
Candidates must:
Have a high school diploma;
Have Basic Computer Skills
Have a valid driver’s license and good driving record;
Pass pre-employment drug screening and periodic screening;
Pass pre-employment background check;
Be willing to travel outside of WV, possible extended stay; and,
Be willing to work extended hours including weekends if required.
