Schedules and trains care staff, and ensures that clinical services are delivered in accordance with regulations and professional standards. Being a Resident Care Coordinator communicates with families and medical professionals as needed, and ensures care plans for residents are properly documented and updated. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Resident Care Coordinator may require Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. As a Resident Care Coordinator you are responisble for assisting the MDS Coordinator with ensuring that documentation in the center meets Federal, State, and Certification guidelines. The Resident Care Coordinator also coordinates with the MDS Coordinator on the RAI process assuring the timeliness, and completeness of the MDS, CAAs, and Interdisciplinary Care Plan.
