Resident Care Coordinator coordinates, supervises, and evaluates the care of residents in a skilled nursing, assisted living, or similar facility. Schedules and trains care staff, and ensures that clinical services are delivered in accordance with regulations and professional standards. Being a Resident Care Coordinator communicates with families and medical professionals as needed, and ensures care plans for residents are properly documented and updated. Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Resident Care Coordinator may require Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Resident Care Coordinator supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Resident Care Coordinator typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. ```Duties```
- Provide direct care and assistance to residents in an assisted living facility
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Monitor and document residents' behaviors and report any changes or concerns to the shift supervisor
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure residents' dietary needs are met
- Engage residents in social activities
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Respond to emergency situations
```Experience```
- Previous experience working in assisted living or a similar healthcare setting is preferred
- Understanding of ADLs and the ability to assist residents with these tasks
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area
- First aid certification is desirable
- Direct support professional training or certification is a plus
