A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Additionally, Research and Development Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Mission:
Quantum Research is seeking a Business Development Manager for their Huntsville, Alabama Office. Ideal candidate will provide full spectrum business development to support long range strategy development, business development and capture, and proposal management.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development, engagement and shaping of business opportunities for Quantum
Participate in Campaign Teams responsible for capture of new business:
Develop responses to USG Requests for Information/Proposals (RFI's & RFPs)
Lead Cross-Functional proposal teams through the acquisition process
Develop Win-Strategies, Price to Win, Risk Analysis/Mitigation Plans, Partnering Strategies
Develop and lead gate reviews for assigned pursuits/opportunities
Work with the Quantum Managers, customers, and teammates develop solutions and transiti
Manage Customer Relationships with key DoD customers:
Develop and execute executive engagement plan at all levels of DoD
Shape requirements for USG that align with Quantum Products and Services
Interface with USG Programs/Commercial Sales and Marketing leadership within Quantum
Maintain engagement with the Quantum area of interest Redstone Arsenal/Huntsville customer base to include AMC, AMCOM, PEO-Aviation, PEO Missiles and Space, PEO STRI, US Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Missile Defense Agency, and other customers
Interface with other Quantum BD Managers and Line Managers on Corporate Strategies and linkage to DoD Budgets
Represent Quantum at key trade shows and events (domestically and internationally as needed), to continue to promote the Quantum brand and Quantum products and services, supporting Quantum interests within DoD and with international customers
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration - or related discipline- is required
At least 10 years' experience in either military aviation, fire control, rockets and missile, military acquisition, military logistics, military business development, military marketing and sales, or military program management
Note: In order to be considered for this role, the candidate must have worked inside the U.S. Military as an influencer in acquiring and sustainment of military products and services OR be someone who has experience developing business with the DoD
Ability to work in a highly dynamic, complex, and deadline-intensive environment
