Polytek® Development Corp. is a leading manufacturer of mold making and casting materials. Polytek® is currently looking for a highly motivated, experienced, and extremely organized individual to join our rapidly expanding company.
Essential Job Functions:
Major tasks and other key responsibilities include:
- In charge of compiling a list of unfulfilled orders for reconciliation and future reference.
- Ensure the availability of stock so as to reduce shortages and delayed shipments.
- Read shipping notices, invoices, orders, and other documents so as to determine priorities and shipping methods that are needed to meet order fulfillment timelines.
- Supervise Department Leads and Shipping Clerks, to ensure that they understand and follow shipping procedures and safety policies with continuous improvement in mind.
- The ability to train, lead & effect accountability in a workforce.
- Execute and supervise the day to day production activities in the plant including the tracking of key performance metrics.
- Lead a comprehensive communication plan to engage employees in the day to day operations.
- Conduct employee performance reviews, skill assessments and identify development gaps; suggest training needs to HR.
- Ensure that employees follow all company safety procedures.
- Monitor and oversee outgoing shipping activities to make sure everything that is shipped out is timely and accurate.
- Complete Bill of Ladings and hazardous materials shipping papers for shipments as necessary.
- Direct the movement of shipments from production, storage, and/or work areas to shipping points.
- Carry out regular inventory reconciliation of supplied materials.
- Inspect loading operations to make sure that they comply with shipping specifications.
- Notify maintenance unit or contact external service providers in the case of defects on materials for repairs.
- Identify opportunities for enhancement and suggest ways of improvement to management.
- Support the simplification and standardization of processes in a bid to enhance effectiveness.
- May participate in hiring and training of new personnel for the company’s shipping unit.
- Present and maintain a positive attitude with regards to Polytek management policies and instructions and follow all rules set forth in Polytek’s Employee Policy Manual; including promoting continuous improvements, 5S and striving for excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time and work on a computer.
- Must be able to work in an office environment.
- Must be able to talk, hear and see with vision abilities including close/near, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when entering manufacturing areas.
Education and Experience:
- Must be able to understand, speak, write and read English.
- High-school diploma or GED.
- Ability to become a Licensed forklift driver; valid driver’s license with good driving history.
- General knowledge of business processes and employment policies.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving and time management skills.
