Job Details: We are searching for an innovative and dedicated Research and Development Engineer (R&D) to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in the Manufacturing industry, utilizing your expertise in powder, materials science, and additive manufacturing to drive the development of our products and processes. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work in an exciting, fast-paced environment where you can truly make your mark.
Responsibilities: As an R&D Engineer, your primary duties will include:
1. Conducting comprehensive research and development to enhance our manufacturing processes and products. 2. Utilizing your knowledge of powder, materials science, and additive manufacturing to create innovative solutions. 3. Applying techniques such as laser powder bed fusion, directed energy deposition, selective laser melting, electron beam additive, binder jet, metal injection molding, cold spray, and thermal spray in the development process. 4. Overseeing metal powder processing, including milling, crushing, and hydride. 5. Collaborating with other team members to design, prototype, and refine products. 6. Implementing rigorous testing procedures to ensure the quality and performance of our products. 7. Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and methodologies. 8. Documenting all research findings and product specifications clearly and accurately. 9. Presenting research findings and product proposals to company stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree or higher is preferred. 2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry. 3. Extensive experience with research and development, powder, materials science, and additive manufacturing. 4. Proficiency with laser powder bed fusion, directed energy deposition, selective laser melting, electron beam additive, binder jet, metal injection molding, cold spray, and thermal spray. 5. A strong understanding of metal powder processing, including milling, crushing, and hydride. 6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 7. Strong communication and presentation skills. 8. The ability to work well in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 9. A proactive approach to staying informed about the latest industry trends and technologies. 10. A commitment to producing high-quality work and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
