Research and Development Engineer jobs in Lewiston, ME

Mechanical testing laboratory looking for a full time technician. Yarmouth Research has been providing testing services to equipment manufacturers supplying the petro/chemical and power industries for over 30 years. Our product testing makes these plants environmentally cleaner and safer.

The position is hands-on working with industrial tools like wrenches and drills, and also technical equipment like pressure/temperature sensors, leak detectors, etc. It can be a bit physical and you may get a little dirty at times. It is not a desk job and cannot be done remotely. The tasks will start menial with equipment maintenance and simple test setups, but will grow into performing tests supervised and then independently when adequately trained. You would join the 2 other Engineer/Technicians in the lab and the 2 office personnel. So the right personality is needed to get along with this small group. Our work hours are 7:00 - 3:30 Mon-Fri, but some flexibilty may be considered. Benefits include fully paid health insurance and annual bonuses.
