TGen, the Translational Genomics Research Institute, is a part of City of Hope. This position is for a Research Associate to join the team in the laboratory of Drs Jeffrey Trent and Cristian Tomasetti. We are a fast-paced research lab focused on cancer genomic landscapes, early detection and effective therapeutic intervention in a variety of populations ranging from underserved human communities to naturally occurring canine and chicken cancers.
Under management supervision, this position requires the employee to perform all duties related to experimental execution, basic data analysis, sample tracking, general laboratory responsibilities, maintain a clean lab space, equipment use and maintenance
along with assisting/mentoring colleagues and/or interns. Expectations include maintaining detailed lab notebooks, maintenance spreadsheets and protocols. These procedures allow for a laboratory functioning efficiently producing quality data that will
translate into publications and most importantly advances in the clinic.
