Communicates direction through words or actions to inspire team members to reach goals. Being a Research Fellow also responsible for planning and budgeting. Requires a PhD in their field of specialty. Additionally, Research Fellow typically reports to a top management. The Research Fellow manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Several available projects: (1) Biology and pathobiology of the UBTF E210K neuroregression syndrome using cellular and mouse models. Work includes molecular biology, cell biology, mouse models, and targeted neuropharmacology. Work broadly applicable to nucleolar dysfunction and neurodegeneration. (2) Study of GNAL-associated dystonia using mouse models. Work includes flow cytometry, engineered mouse models, behavioral assessments of motor functioning, gene expression, in situ hybridization for isoform localization, and epigenetics. (3) Genetics of dystonia and tremor using long-read PacBio sequencing.
