Requires a PhD in their field of specialty. Additionally, Research Fellow typically reports to a top management. The Research Fellow manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. The Kaiser Permanente Northern California Division of Research invites applications for a 2-year Postdoctoral Fellow focused on women’s and children’s health. The postdoc will be co-supported by the NIH Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) program (Dr. Yeyi Zhu, MPI and Dr. Jennifer Ames, co-investigator) and Center for Upstream Prevention of Adiposity and Diabetes Mellitus (Director: Dr. Assiamira Ferrara). We seek applications from individuals with a PhD or equivalent in Epidemiology, Nutrition, Environment, Public Health, or related field. Preference will be given to applicants with strong analytic and writing skills. Background in methods to assess childhood obesity and/or neurodevelopmental disorder and the effect of environmental exposures on these conditions is preferred. The postdoc fellow will have opportunities to further develop his/her research skills within the ECHO program in a unique health care delivery system with unrivaled clinical data sources.
A two to three year position appointment which involves full-time research under the supervision of a Research Scientists/Biostatistician I, II, or III. The Fellow is expected to publish; assist in research development; and serve as a Research Fellow on multiple on-going efforts for the hiring Senior Scientist.
