Research Fellow jobs in Florida
Research Fellow develops the strategy and vision to position a project from inception through completion; creates teams and collaborations that understand the project's direction. Communicates direction through words or actions to inspire team members to reach goals. Being a Research Fellow also responsible for planning and budgeting. Requires a PhD in their field of specialty. Additionally, Research Fellow typically reports to a top management. The Research Fellow manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Research Fellow typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. The Research Fellow is responsible for supporting and conducting clinical research under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) and chief of Surgery in the Nemours Ear, Hearing and Communication research center (NEHCC ). - Conduct and process laboratory activities under the supervision of the chief of surgery and/or PI.
- Support and facilitate coordinating of research activities, being involved in the research of the Center for Craniofacial Differences
- Assist in the preparation of clinical data collection, analysis, manuscript writing and grant writing
- Support and mentor current Focused Inquiry and Research Experience (FIRE) students under the supervision of senior PI’s and chief of surgery.
- Participate in national research conferences to present results from research studies.
Requirements: BA, BS or MD/DO, fellow position is for one year contingent upon progress/continuation of projects for 2nd year.
