The Research Post Doctorate Fellow conducts basic and translational research at Cancer Stem Cell Laboratory to advance the therapeutic opportunities for pediatric myeloid leukemia. The Post Doc engages in advanced research under the guidance of the Principal Investigator. Fellow designs, organizes, and conducts highly specialized and advanced experiments using established scientific protocols and procedures. In some cases, fellow participates in designing new protocols, independently monitors results, responds to unusual outcomes/errors, and considers continuous improvements. Performs statistical analysis as needed. Post Doc will summarize findings and work with PI to publish results in research journals. Contributes significantly to grant proposals, supports scientific operations of the laboratory, and provides guidance to research assistants, students, and junior researchers. Possesses advanced knowledge of lab practices. Possesses extensive knowledge in specialized field of study.
