Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) oversees all activities of a residence hall. Responsible for student housing assignment, maintenance of facilities, and safety of residents. Being a Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) ensures students follow college/university conduct policies and takes appropriate disciplinary actions when rules are broken. Incumbent is not given room and board at the residence hall as part of the employment arrangement. Additionally, Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) oversees maintenance and renovation, purchase and inventory of supplies, assignment of semester rooms and summer housing, housekeeping functions, and management of student conduct and discipline. Room and board in the residence hall is not included in the terms of employment. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Res. Hall Manager (No Room, Board) supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be a Res.     The Role

    As the General Manager, you oversee all store operations, staff, budgets, and sales activities for Zoom Room. You are the perfect fit for this role because you are a thoughtful leader, a confident decision-maker, and have a passion for customer service and helping our people develop professionally.

    You have a passion for training dogs and coaching humans. Through our best-in-class proprietary training program you will grow daily in your knowledge of dog behavior, canine learning theory, and effective dog training/human coaching techniques. You will lead private and group classes, all while providing a first-class customer experience to our clients, and high-value mentoring to our staff. For this role, professional dog training experience is a plus, but it’s not necessary if you have experience and comfort interacting with and handling dogs of all sizes.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Oversee all daily operations, including training services, the sales process, financial performance, and customer service delivery
    • Develop operational and financial performance strategies, and implement actionable goals
    • Maintain budgets, optimize expenses, and prepare regular reports for management
    • Direct staff members’ work productivity and professional development
    • Recruit and hire new staff; mentor and bring out the best in current staff
    • Direct and maintain a culture of relentless customer service
    • Lead group and private training sessions with humans and their dogs
    • Actively listen to dog owners for opportunities to deliver exceptional customer service while effectively promoting and selling our dog training products and services that meet their unique needs.
    • Individually participate in all daily operational activities, including all customer service and sales activities, answering inquiries, updating vaccination records, cleaning the facility, and maintaining retail product merchandising and sales

    Qualifications

    • MUST have at least 2 years of professional management experience with demonstratable ability to manage retail operations and develop staff
    • MUST have at least 2 years of B2C sales experience
    • MUST have at least 5 years of customer service experience
    • MUST have at least 2 year of dog handling experience (prior dog training experience is not mandatory, but a strong commitment to learning and implementing scientifically validated methods for training both dogs and humans is essential, along with the dedication to continually strive for expertise through daily practice.)
    • MUST demonstrate ability to balance multiple tasks at one time
    • MUST demonstrate attention to detail
    • MUST have reliable transportation
    • MUST be available to work weekends and evenings
    • MUST be able to lift 30 lbs
    • MUST have ability and willingness to stand on your feet for extended periods
    • MUST work effectively both individually and as a team
    • MUST have a High School Diploma. College degree preferred
