Free Press Publishing is looking for journalists for its rural community newspapers. Come big the big fish in a small pond. Report on city and county government, schools, people, events, and local sports and recreation. Based in Cheney covering the West Plains, you'll be part of a team that covers rural areas of five counties. Our readers are loyal and expect just the facts.

This is an in-person job. No, we do not allow working from home.

Microsoft products, internet, telephone and customer service skills required. In-Design, photography and PhotoShop skills a plus.

Hours vary, based on meeting and sports schedules, breaking news, etc.

If you have reporting or writing experience, have a strong work ethic and can multitask, we want to hear from you.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $36,000.00 per year
