Hours: 20-40 hours per week, flexible schedule
(deliveries can often be scheduled for early mornings and evenings.)
Salary: $19.00 per hour, plus shared tips
POSITION SUMMARY
DELIVERY DRIVERS ARE TEMPORARY (SEASONAL) EMPLOYEES WHO ASSIST IN CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BOAT TRANSPORTATION FOR JACK’S BOAT RENTAL IN WELLFLEET, MA. OPEN FROM LATE MAY THROUGH MID-SEPTEMBER. THE DELIVERY DRIVER HAS WIDE-RANGING DELIVERY, CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BOAT-HANDLING JOB DUTIES.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Roles:
● Transport boats and related equipment safely to designated customer locations.
● Assist in fitting customers with proper paddling/sailing equipment.
● Demonstrate safety, transport, setup and storage instructions to customers, as appropriate.
● Answer customer questions and provide superior customer service.
● Maintain locations of all boats in a timely fashion in Jack’s reservation system.
● Schedule deliveries to meet customer requirements and minimize delivery times.
● Assist team members to load and unload equipment for deliveries.
● Answer phone calls and in-person inquiries - provide information and manage customer reservations.
● Abide by all Massachusetts state transportation guidelines.
● Ensure customers’ safety, fun and complete satisfaction.
● Be an ambassador for Jack’s Boat Rental.
Secondary Roles:
● Clean all equipment upon return and prepare it for subsequent rentals when applicable.
● Assist and teach customers to load and unload boats and equipment from their vehicles when applicable.
● Manage point-of-sale transactions for items sold by Jack’s.
● Assist in cleaning rental facilities and vehicles to ensure a professional and excellent experience for all.
● Aid with location recommendations for paddling.
● Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications include:
● Ability to navigate addresses using GPS and/or maps.
● Willingness and commitment to act in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
● Knowledge of associated skills and equipment associated with non-motorized water sports.
● Detail-Oriented
● Ability to work in a team environment.
● Willingness to be flexible with work schedules.
● Commitment to uphold all policies and protocols at Jack’s Boat Rental.
Requirements include:
● Valid United States driver’s license
● Clean driving record – no accidents or violations in 24 months
● Able and willing to lift 50 pounds, repeatedly, in each work day
● At least 20 years of age
● Must be available to work between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. (holidays and weekends included) or available in early morning and evening hours
● Have or willing to obtain basic first aid and CPR certifications
● Must have reliable transportation to and from work site
● Personal interest in outdoor recreation, especially non-motorized watersports
● Knowledge of Cape Cod (or willingness to learn) a plus
