Rental Technician, Sr. removes, installs, diagnoses, repairs, disassembles, assembles, performs failure analyses and routine maintenance on rental equipment with some supervision and/or following established guidelines. Qualified on routine repairs, use of tools, and components with some supervision. Being a Rental Technician, Sr. requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Rental Technician, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Essential Responsibilities
Description
US Environmental is in the equipment rental business.
We rent Water, Air and Soil monitoring equipment.
We are looking to invest in training a key technician interested in learning about Environmental Equipment. A computer background is helpful.
Tasks include :
Accepting troubleshooting calls from users of our rental equipment
Performing QA on equipment as it goes out to clients
Update our asset management system as needed
Transfer data from equipment to our systems for client delivery.
Clean equipment and accessories, then package per appropriate manufacturers' specifications.
Calibrate and / or perform diagnostics for all assigned equipment within 24 hours after it has been returned from rental.
Communicate with supervisor regarding damages that may have occurred during rental.
Prepare equipment for new rental orders according to standard procedures. This also includes packing equipment, preparing packing lists and calibration reports and appropriate paperwork.
Provide technical support and training including pre-order advice to clients via telephone, email and face-to-face.
Perform all reasonably assigned tasks.
Division of Responsibilities
Depending on location and / or other conditions, technicians will be assigned to specific areas based on seniority, skill, and / or preference.
These areas include, but are not limited to : water quality, air quality, soil, survey, and telemetry.
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows-based software
Preferred Skills & Abilities
Experience with environmental technology and / or small electronics.
Enthusiasm to learn about environmental technology and its applications.
