We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Senior Board Up Technicians to join our team. You will be responsible for providing mandatory after-hours response for temporary board ups and roof tarps for the Greater Bay Area.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Rapid Response: Receive and respond to emergency calls promptly, often working in high-pressure situations to secure properties in a timely manner.
- Site Assessment: Evaluate the extent of damage to determine the appropriate materials and methods for boarding up windows, doors, and other vulnerable openings.
- Safety Measures: Prioritize safety for both team members and the public while performing board-up procedures. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks.
- Boarding-Up Procedures: Utilize appropriate tools and materials to board up windows, doors, and other openings, ensuring a secure and weather-resistant barrier.
- Structural Stabilization: Assess the structural integrity of the property and implement stabilization measures if necessary to prevent collapses or further damage.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with team members, property owners, insurance adjusters, and emergency personnel to ensure coordinated efforts.
- Equipment Maintenance: Properly maintain and care for equipment and tools used in board-up procedures to ensure they are in good working condition for future emergencies.
- Apply all health and safety regulations to prevent workplace hazards.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-2 years Carpenter experience
- Emergency response board up experience a PLUS
- Two weekends per month of additional after-hours availability.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift/carry 25 lbs
- Ability to work overtime hours as required.
- Excellent customer service skills- must be a “people person”!
- Must consent to pre-employment screening including a drug test and background check
- DMV record check if offered a position with the company.
