SUMMARY
The Quality Control Technician is a position that has impact on multiple functions within True Digital Surgery. It is a key member of the Quality team that bridges quality control (QC), quality assurance (QA) and production. This role supports quality control of incoming materials, in-process, and final product. The process and product are improved by the Quality Control technician by developing and implementing processes and documentation. The selected individual will need to be able to establish a collaborative rapport with various stakeholders in Quality, Engineering, Regulatory, Operations and Customer Service.
SALARY AND PAY TRANSPARENCY
Hourly rate for this position is typically between $28 and $34 per hour. Base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and all applicable company benefits.
The hourly pay rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job posting and may be modified in the future.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.- Knowledge of work instructions, procedures, and calibration of QC lab equipment referenced in TDA Quality Management System.
- Perform inspection of incoming components to the released acceptance criteria and procedures.
- Ensure the Incoming Inspection Log is maintained and updated daily.
- Maintain Quality lab equipment, troubleshoot and repair any faulty electronic or mechanical malfunctions.
- Solid background in software and hardware troubleshooting.
- Manage equipment database and organize equipment calibration as required by internal equipment manufacturing list.
- Investigate reports of product quality issues and ensure resolution in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Create and execute rework instructions.
- Develop and implement QCIC’s, work instructions, travelers and other documentation needed to efficiently produce medical devices.
- Perform in-process and final inspection on subassemblies and finished product.
- Management of document control and retention of all controlled quality records.
- Support the escalation of quality issues and follow up of action plans.
- Other duties as assigned by the QA Engineering Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience
Associate degree, technical certification or at least 4-year relevant experience in a technical role. 2 years of experience working within Quality Management Systems (QMS) preferred.
Language
Demonstrate excellent communication and documentation skills, both written and oral. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write processes and work instructions. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Reasoning
Demonstrate ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong computer skills (avid recreational or professional use), knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
