The General Rental Center is looking to hire an Equipment Rental Technician. We have competitive pay and benefits. Applicant must have a current driver's license for the state of Missouri and a good driving record. Experience with Construction Equipment is preferred. Equipment Rental Technician (ERT) ensures rental tools and equipment are maintained, repaired, and available for customers to rent. The ERT may be required to write customer contracts and invoices for tool and equipment rental, checks to make sure equipment is operating properly, demonstrates its proper use, and loads/unloads equipment. The ERT receives and services rented tools and equipment to ensure its availability for rent in a timely manner. The ERT trains new associates on servicing, operation, and loading/unloading of tools and equipment. The ERT completes these job duties while following all safety procedures and practices.
Support Customers First Priority:
-Demonstrate expert equipment, product, and services knowledge in answering customer questions
-Demonstrate proper equipment use for customer
-Troubleshoot customer problems and provide advice to address
-Ensure equipment is repaired and available for rental in a timely manner while keeping costs to a minimum
Drive Rentals:
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment: Located mainly outdoors (Shelter, fans, and heaters are present for extreme conditions).
Travel: Seldom requires overnight travel, less than 1% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements: Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving equipment and tools. Responding to two-way radio communication, including customer services calls, pages, and general information. Moving around the store and being able to assist customers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States

Additional Minimum Qualifications:
-Be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and overtime if needed.
-Successfully complete any required training or orientation courses.
-Minimal or no educational requirement for this job.
-Physical Requirements: Most of the time is spent standing/walking, lifting, or handling equipment of moderate weight (8-50 pounds).
