Rental Quality Control Technician monitors overall quality of machines, and component repairs performed by the Service Department. Maintains records of results and prepares reports. CDCLI’s Rental Assistance program oversees more than 9,000 Housing Choice Vouchers. These vouchers support individuals and families; veterans, seniors, households with young children, and individuals living with a disability. Specifically, the Administrative Associate will assist the unit manager with ensuring quality control and assurance while also managing all applicant repayments for the Housing Choice Voucher program that CDCLI administers on behalf of New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR)
Responsibilities:
• Assist Quality Control and Repayment unit staff to ensure efficiency and adherence to program compliance requirements
• Coordinate with the unit manager and departmental staff to ensure prompt and accurate unit operations
• Assist with SEMAP audits
• Review files for HUD compliance
• Review files for SEMAP compliance
• Review files to ensure all data entered is complete, error-free, and compliant with all program rules and regulations
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of program rules, regulations, and recent changes and ensure program staff are aware of any/all changes
• Investigate and review potential tenant repayments
• Ensure timely communications with tenants per repayment rules and regulations
• Track unit performance and meet monthly operational goals
• Identify and implement operational efficiencies
• Support the Assistant Directors on special assignments as requested
• Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
• Person-centered/client-driven
• Experience in quality control, auditing, customer service, or client services in a human services environment, housing complex, or real estate organization
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel
• Proven time management, multi-tasking, and attention to detail
• Proven ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and over the phone
• Ability to safeguard confidential and sensitive information
Preferred:
• Bi-lingual
• Experience utilizing customer relationship management software such as Salesforce, Emphasis, or other systems
• Experience working in diverse and/or underserved communities, and in culturally attuned, trauma-informed service provision
• Flexible work hours, including select evenings and weekends
